User Testing & Reflection - Finance Page Redesign

Old finance experience for Poppy sellers was complicated, fragmented, and information was clustered. The amount of money available for deposit was confusing, because after the buyer places the order, the money was not given to the seller immediately. It will actually be available for deposit 14 days after the arrival of the goods. Visually, the part of recent transaction was busy, clustered, and needed to be much clearer, transparent, and simpler than in the current one.

Old orders page was not user-friendly

Existing Problems:

  • The fee display is not clear, and the user does not know whether it can be withdrawn or has not been received.
  • The layout of recent transaction is very long and inconvenient to read.
  • Users don't know when the money will arrive.

New orders page was not meeting diversifying seller needs

My Reflection

  • This is my first time participating in a CRM project. Different from the shopping app(Poppy Shopping), the design of CRM(Sell on Poppy) focuses on rigorous logic and reasonable functional architecture. Additionally, the overall style of the page should be concise and unified.
  • Some functions need to be connected to the API, such as the function of message and payment, which require a certain understanding and retrieval ability of technology. Knowing some APIs before discussing with developers during the kick-off meeting will make the whole process smoother.
  • B-end products will not have as many users as C-end products, so user feedback comes from more in-depth user interviews to understand the real pain points of users.
